The Volax Collection
Volax is the name of a small village on the island of Tinos in the Aegean Sea, of which the surrounding landscape is dotted with enormous monoliths that look as if they have fallen from the sky. The Volax Collection consists of objects made from solid pieces of Tinian marble selected from the coastline and the sea by local marble sculptors. With minimal interventions the craftsmen give shape to the raw material creating vessels and bowls while preserving the feel of its almost raw, monolithic and primitive aesthetics.
